Uganda is one of the world’s leading coffee producers and Africa’s top exporter coffee, contributing an average of 15% of the country’s total export revenue over the last decade. The country ranks fourth globally in Robusta production, after Vietnam, Brazil, and Indonesia. Uganda is also home to high-quality Arabica coffee, grown in the highland areas of Mount Elgon, the Rwenzori Mountains, and the West Nile region.

Legit Coffee Limited was born out of the passion and vision of four young, driven individuals back in 2018. What started as an idea quickly took root, and by 2024, Legit Coffee Limited was officially incorporated. Today, we’re proud to be one of the leading coffee traders in Uganda, with our reach extending globally. Francis Kitaka

Cheif Executive Officer (CEO)

Francis is retired finance professional and teacher with vast experience in finance and strong foundation in financial management, risk management, audit, and financial reporting. He is a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills and an ability to synthesize financial information. Francis has been involved in the provision of financial services to various institutions ranging from private companies, banks, donor funded projects, government and non-governmental organisations. In the coffee industry, Francis has acquired extensive knowledge about the coffee value chain though research and hands on experience.

Abdul Suleiman

Cheif Operating Officer (COO)

Abdul has over a decade of experience in the coffee industry. He is a true coffee professional and a gentleman in business. His extensive passion and knowledge about coffee and his impeccable record as a coffee trader makes Abdul an extremely valuable resource for the coffee industry and Legit Coffee Limited who procure coffee from small scale farmers and processors. He has a remarkable empathy and ability to communicate with actors throughout the whole value chain and can relate to the humblest coffee farmer, as to the most senior of buyers. Abdul spends time learning a buyer’s needs and quality requirements. In Legit Coffee company he is the “Bean man”

Nathan Odur

Senior Financial Advicer (SFA)

Nathan is the senior financial advisor of Legit coffee company. He is an ACCA and has extensive financial knowledge. He is responsible for all aspects of financial planning and management in legit Coffee Limited. Before Legit Coffee Ltd, Nathan has worked at a professional audit firm (a big 4 firm) for 7 years progressing to Manager level. While there, he first worked in Finance, then Audit before moving into advisory Services where he specialised in developing anti-money laundering policies for global investment organisations and conducting reviews of internal controls and processes.

Nansubuga Regina Sharon

Head Of Administration (HOA)

Sharon is a teacher by profession with a high desire in the coffee industry. She spends most of her free time interacting with coffee farmers to understand their major challenges in order to come up with interventions that not only benefit the small-scale farmers but also provide the reliability of quality and stock that will create long lasting relationships.
